Dr. Karen Gless has maintained a successful practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 1985. She graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor in nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse before earning her Masters degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling. She went on to complete her Doctorate in Psychology at the University for Humanistic Studies in1991. Dr. Karen Gless is a highly qualified psychotherapist with advanced training in sex therapy and relationship counseling. Her experience in medicine as a Registered Nurse gives her the expertise to understand the physical side of sexual problems. Her specialization in sex therapy allows her to help many individuals and couples with problems such as low desire, desire differences and difficulties with sexual functioning. She has served as president of the San Diego Chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and as president of the San Diego Society for Sex Therapy and Education. Dr. Gless has written numerous articles on “Communication for Couples” for Living Better Magazine and has been quoted in Cosmo Magazine. She has also developed self-hypnosis CDs for men and women to improve sexual performance and increase their enjoyment of sex. Her special interests include hiking in the mountains, photography and raising orchids.
